Responsibilities

• Install mulch in ornamental beds as needed.
• Seasonal leaf and snow removal from parking lots.
• Annual preventive maintenance of parking lots, lines, and signage.

• Report to work as essential during emergencies.

• Maintain campus lawns, including trimming, pruning, edging, mowing, and weeding
• Measure, mix, and apply fertilizer, pesticides, insecticides, and fungicides under direction
• Operate mowers, vehicles, and groundskeeping and landscaping equipment
• Perform routine maintenance of groundskeeping equipment
• Install mulch in ornamental beds throughout the campus as needed
• Perform seasonal leaf and snow removal from parking lots
• Perform annual preventive maintenance of parking lots, painted lines, and signage
• Perform specialized seasonal maintenance and care of turf and grass
• Assist the Campus Operations services team with outdoor event setups
• Report to work as essential personnel during emergency situations when operations are suspended or delayed

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of or ability to learn lawn maintenance
• Basic knowledge in or ability to learn application of fertilizers, insecticides and fungicides
• Basic knowledge of or ability to learn operation of all mowers and machinery associated with groundskeeping
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
