Job summary

Barber-Nichols is seeking a Turbomachinery Technician II to support custom, low-volume products across defense, space, and aerospace sectors. You will oversee assembly, balance, final assembly, and test support from components to test readiness, collaborating with engineers to improve designs and processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two-year technical degree in engineering technology, electronics, or similar field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test turbomachinery parts per specifications and quality requirements.
• Work on cryogenic pumps, single-ended pumps, fans, and Welco products.
• Review P&ID diagrams and follow work instructions to setup the station.
• Ensure parts are cleaned and nonconformities are addressed before testing.
• Balance rotors and build test loops per documentation and certify with engineering.
