Job summary

24-hour HR Process Outsourcing Incorporated in Novi, MI seeks a Component Design Engineer for the Global Mechanical Systems Capability function. You will develop robust designs that satisfy system and sub-system requirements while ensuring manufacturability and on-time delivery of artifacts such as documents and models.

The role requires a strong mechanical engineering background, cross-disciplinary knowledge, and the ability to work within RRMS policies and an IPT structure to enable lifecycle

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge in mechanical design methodologies and cross-discipline concepts.
• Ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking on technical problems.
• Experience with product integrity / liability and certification frameworks.
• Good communication and presentation skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Deliver design solutions for components, assemblies and engines considering safety and manufacturability.
• Define stakeholder requirements according to policies using model-based approaches.
• Create and use automated tools; develop automated workflows for design processes.
