Job summary

Rotating Machinery Services (RMS Inc.) in Bethlehem, PA seeks a Bladed Designer to transform CAD data into detailed drawings and BOMs for turbomachinery components and assemblies. You will collaborate with engineers, update layouts, and mentor junior drafters while working across drafting, engineering, project management, and shop teams.

The role emphasizes drafting accuracy, communication, and adherence to safety and quality standards in a full-time Bethlehem office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience.
• Experience in turbomachinery or related machined components.
• Design for manufacturability and assembly.
• GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and 3D modeling standards.

Responsibilities

• Creates CAD design layouts for projects and other assignments.
• Creates CAD drawings for projects and other assignments.
• Inputs and maintains required drafting information in JobBoss (MRP) including BOMs.
• Maintains project drafting files with dimensions and data for layouts and drawings.
• Works with Engineering, Shop, and Purchasing to ensure drawings convey correct information and are error-free.
• Mentors and guides other drafters in a professional manner.
• Visits customer sites for on-site inspections and data gathering.
• Performs other related company duties as assigned.
