Job summary

Rotating Machinery Services, Inc. in Bethlehem, PA seeks a Bladed Designer to develop CAD layouts and drawings for turbomachinery components.

You will collaborate with engineers, update layouts through projects, and convert designs into working documents with BOMs and instructions. You will mentor junior drafters, travel to customer sites for data gathering, and ensure drawings are accurate and manufacturable.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or professional certificate required along with 5 years of mechanical design experience.
• Experience with turbomachinery or closely related machined components.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD systems and design-for-manufacturability practices.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD design layouts and drawings for projects and assignments.
• Input and maintain drafting data in MRP system (BOMs, etc.).
• Maintain drafting files with dimensions and data for layouts and drawings.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Shop, and Purchasing to ensure accurate information.
• Mentor and guide junior CAD designers in layout and detailing.
