Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a hands-on team member in Northwest Indiana to assist in cleaning and reconditioning turbocharger components and to support warranty and customer return processes. You will work under the Repair Department and use SAP to track repairs, with emphasis on quality control and timely documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, automotive training preferred, and experience in automotive performance.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; automotive training preferred; automotive performance experience preferred.
• Reasoning Ability: solve practical problems with diverse variables and follow written/oral instructions.
• Computer Skills: track repair orders, quality statistics, and inventory usage via databases.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize repair orders and remanufactured turbos under direction of Repair Department technicians.
• Clean and recondition all turbocharger components.
• Track repairs through SAP inventory control and invoicing; log production orders and time accurately.
• Maintain records of repairs and product applications for future reference.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; maintain professional relations with customers and staff.
• Ensure confidentiality of internal communications, financial information, pricing, and strategic plans.
• Organize personal schedule to maximize productivity.
