Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Product Definition Engineer – Gas Power Engineering to transform engineering concepts into digital product definitions. You will create 3D CAD models using NX, manage drawings, and ensure design integrity from concept through manufacturing.

This role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, FPY improvements, and compliance with engineering standards. The position requires a STEM degree (BS/MS) with 0–1 year of relevant experience, on-site work in Greenville, SC at least

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science Degree in Engineering or a STEM major from an accredited university or college.
• Basic understanding of solid modeling software and model-based product definition.
• Minimum 0-1 year of relevant experience in engineering and/or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 3D CAD models and production drawings using Siemens NX and support digital product definitions.
• Ensure design integrity and drive continuous FPY improvements to reduce defects.
• Define GD&T for gas turbine components to maximize manufacturing capabilities.
• Self-check and peer-check models, drawings, and BOMs to maximize productivity.
• Lead interface characteristics between components and ensure cross-functional alignment.
• Utilize PLM/data management systems (Enovia/Teamcenter) to securely manage critical data.
• Document technical data to support components in accordance with policies and standards.
• Provide design support to cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing, supplier, or field-service issues.
• Communicate project progress and risks to stakeholders with daily management routines.
• Leverage Lean and Six Sigma tools to improve processes and productivity.
