Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Mechanical Designer for the Turbine Design department in the Large Gas Turbine engineering division. You will develop turbine part designs with Siemens NX 3D CAD, create detailed 3D models, and assess designs for function, manufacturability, and cost.

You’ll collaborate across disciplines to optimize product definitions and support manufacturing planning. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a engineering field and 3+ years’ experience in mechanical design, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in design engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in mechanical design.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX 3D CAD system.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, Siemens PLM Teamcenter, SAP R/3 or S/4 Hana.
• Intercultural experience (USA, Germany, India) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design turbine parts using top-tier 3D CAD systems and create parametric models.
• Evaluate designs from functional, manufacturing, and cost perspectives.
• Create 3D parametric models for MDO and PMI or 2D drawings for product definition.
• Serve as the go-to person for design issues and product definition standards.
• Collaborate in an interdisciplinary team to optimize designs per requirements.
• Support planning of product definition tasks and manufacturing support efforts.
