Job summary

Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC seeks Alignment Mechanics to join our Gas Services team. You will assemble, align, blade, seal, weld and fabricate turbine components, read blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and operate manual machine tools to produce high-quality parts.

You will handle material movement with cranes, follow safety protocols, and document manufacturing data. This hands-on role requires 1–3 years of related experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Capable of using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Experience operating manual machine tools such as lathes, Bridgeport mills, grinders.

Responsibilities

• Perform turbine assembly, alignment, blading, seal installation/removal, welding, fabrication, and component adjustments.
• Operate material handling equipment and cranes for product movement, loading/unloading, and critical lifts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Use computers to retrieve and record product data and manufacturing information.
• Measure, calculate, and verify dimensions, tolerances, and product quality using precision measuring tools.
• Set up, operate, maintain, and clean manual machining equipment (Bridgeport, lathe, grinders, etc.).
