Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an Assembly Technician to align, assemble and fit turbine components on first shift. You will read blueprints, use cranes and power tools, and ensure quality checks are documented.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3 years heavy assembly experience, and legal work authorization in the U.S. A valid crane license is preferred, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or 3 years equivalent heavy assembly experience or manufacturing assembly.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; we will not sponsor visas.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
• Willingness to work in a tobacco-free environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Overhead Crane Operator License (175/200 ton) valued.

Responsibilities

• Align, erect, assemble, fit components of unit, compressor, turbine rotors, stators, bearings and main gas turbine unit.
• Outline work of others to accomplish tasks as needed.
• Position and align rotor components and accessories; drill, ream, dowel, bolt up as required.
• Interpret drawings, material lists, planning and methods specifications.
• Maintain quality checks and records; use measuring devices.
