Job summary

Dr. Sauer & Partners Corporation is seeking a Tunnel Engineer to join the design team on major North American projects. You will design and detail underground structures, develop drawings and reports, model and analyze structures, and support construction with field visits.

Requirements include a Bachelors in Civil/Architectural Engineering, experience with underground design, rock/soil mechanics knowledge, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. PE license is desirable but not required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering focusing on structural/geotechnical design.
Experience in design or construction management of underground structures.
Strong understanding of rock/soil mechanics and concrete design.
PE license desirable but not essential.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit 3D modeling and structural analysis.
Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design and detail underground structures including tunnels, cross passages, and caverns.
Develop design drawings, specifications and technical reports.
Perform structural modeling and analysis using engineering software.
Conduct frequent site visits and support construction activities.
Collaborate with clients and project teams to meet requirements.
