STV Incorporated in New York City is seeking a Senior Structural/Tunneling Engineer to lead design and analysis of complex underground structures. You will work within the Centers of Excellence, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet project requirements and deliverables.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 10–15 years of underground structural experience, and proficiency in major structural software.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S. Degree in Civil engineering.
• Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering is preferred.
• PE license required.
• 10-15 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on underground structures.
• Strong knowledge of underground structural design and complex projects.
• Proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, GT STRUDL, LARSA, CSiBridge, RISA, MIDAS and MATHCAD.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with FHWA, AREMA, ACI 318, AISC and ASCE 7.
• Experience with project management including budgets, schedules and resources.

Responsabilités

• Lead and oversee the design and analysis of complex underground structures, such as tunnels, caverns, and underground transit systems.
• Develop design budget and schedule.
• Work with engineers, architects, and construction professionals to meet project specs.
• Manage site investigations and surveys to assess soil/rock conditions.
• Develop and review construction plans, drawings, and specifications; supervise junior staff.
• Conduct advanced structural calculations to determine load capacities, stability and safety factors.
• Use CAD software to create/modify drawings and supervise junior staff.
• Prepare and review project reports; communicate with clients and stakeholders.
• Monitor construction activities for design compliance and resolve issues.
• Mentor and train junior engineers in underground structural engineering.
