Job summary

Lane Construction is seeking a Tunnel Shift Engineer to ensure site operations comply with approved procedures and quality standards. You will support the Site Superintendent and serve as a liaison between field and the technical office.

The role requires 3–5 years of tunneling and/or dam experience, a BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, and proficiency in Excel, Word and AutoCAD. Strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work underground are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of working experience.
• Experience with SOE and concrete works.
• Background experience in tunneling and/or dam projects.
• BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Strong knowledge of Excel, Word and AutoCAD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with multi-tasking ability.
• Attitude to follow instructions and guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Ability to work underground.

Responsibilities

• Assistance to the supervision of excavation, support of excavation and other activities.
• Survey control.
• Tracking material consumption, quantity reports.
• Follow and protect geotechnical instrumentation.
• Interface with Quality control department.
• Daily Reports
• Preparation of work plans, lift plans and Job Hazard Analysis.
• Reporting to superiors and ensuring an effective exchange of information at all levels
• Rebar and formwork take off and inspection previous placement
• Preparation of 3 weeks look ahead schedule for the site in coordination with the Superintendent

Summary:
