Job summary

Lucix Corporation, a leader in RF active and passive units, seeks a skilled Tune and Test Technician in California. You will tune RF amplifiers, filters, mixers, and oscillators up to 40 GHz, and perform environmental tests including vibration and EMI/EMC.

Responsibilities include configuring tests, tuning hybrid circuits, troubleshooting DUTs, and improving tuning efficiency. Candidates should have hands-on experience with wedge bonding, PCB microwave tuning, and a strong understanding of RF

Qualifications

• Experience tuning RF amplifiers, filters, mixers and oscillators up to 40 GHz.
• Familiarity with environmental testing: vibration, thermal vacuum, thermal cycling, EMI/EMC.

Responsibilities

• Test and align RF components and modules up to 40 GHz.
• Conduct environmental tests and offsite testing as needed.
• Configure and perform tests: 1dB compression, C/IM3, noise figure, PSAT, harmonics, s-parameters, k-factor, spurious.
• Tune hybrid microwave circuits and PCB microwave circuits using wedge bond and gap weld techniques.
• Troubleshoot DUTs and test stations down to component level.
• Perform all relevant testing and propose efficiency improvements.

Job description

Lucix also provides RF hardware for Airborne and Ground Systems. All hardware is designed, qualified, manufactured, tested, and shipped from Lucix facilities in California, USA.

We are seeking an experienced Tune and Test Technician with an understanding of microwave test techniques and equipment, with a broad understanding of modules such as amplifiers, filters, synthesizers, mixers, and plexers in the 5 MHz to 50 GHz frequency range.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Test and align (Tune) RF amplifiers (LNAs/SSPAs), Filters, Mixers, Oscillators, and Converters up to 40 GHz
• Testing includes environmental tests such as vibration, thermal vacuum, thermal cycling, and EMI/EMC tests both on and offsite
• Configure and perform tests including (but not limited to) 1dB compression (P-1), C/IM3, noise figure, PSAT, harmonics, continuous monitoring, s- parameters, k-factor, and spurious
• Tune hybrid microwave circuits and modules using wedge bond and gap weld technology
• Tune PC board based microwave circuits
• Troubleshoot DUTs and test stations down to the component level
• Perform all relevant testing
• Propose ideas to improve efficiency and repeatability for tuning
• Performs other duties as assigned
