Job summary

Lucix Corporation, a leader in RF active and passive units for satellite payloads, seeks a Senior PCB Designer in California to execute high‑frequency PCB layouts and deliver complete fabrication packages. You’ll work with RF and hardware engineers, ensure impedance, grounding, and manufacturability, and produce release‑ready drawings and outputs.

Strong ownership and detail focus are essential. You will collaborate with PCB vendors, apply RF techniques, and help define stackups while meeting

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, or related field OR equivalent hands‑on PCB layout experience
  • 5+ years of PCB layout experience
  • Experience with OrCAD PCB Designer
  • Experience designing high frequency (up to 31 GHz) RF PCBs
  • Demonstrated ownership of PCB layout process
  • Working knowledge of Multilayer PCB construction, controlled impedance fundamentals, and grounding / return path behavior
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and operate in a high‑paced environment
  • Familiarity with BluePrint and ODB++ generation preferred
  • Experience with EMC and EMI mitigation preferred
  • Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-6012, IPC-2221, IPC-7351) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for PCB layout and design for power, analog, digital, and RF printed circuit boards
  • Create library parts and maintain CIS component database
  • Execute multilayer PCB layouts for RF, mixed-signal, and power designs
  • Place and route components with consideration for signal integrity, return paths, grounding, and manufacturability
  • Implement controlled impedance routing based on defined stackups
  • Apply RF layout techniques including isolation, via stitching, and shielding strategies
  • Support stackup definition and routing feasibility analysis
  • Generate complete, release-ready fabrication and assembly documentation
  • Produce ODB++ manufacturing outputs using BluePrint
  • Identify and eliminate layout risks prior to release
  • Drive layout feasibility and resolve constraints early in design
  • Incorporate design review feedback efficiently and accurately
  • Work directly with engineers and PCB vendors to ensure designs meet intent and build requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

We are seeking an experienced Senior PCB Designer to join our team. This role is responsible for executing PCB designs that meet electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing requirements with a high degree of accuracy and completeness. You will work closely with RF and hardware engineers through iterative design cycles. Success in this role requires strong fundamentals, attention to detail, and ownership of your designs from initial placement through release.
