Job summary

The YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg's Dance Academy is seeking qualified tumbling instructors for all ages and levels to support a growing program. This includes an award-winning competition team, technique classes, and a large year-end performance for all students.

We fill classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings; part-time with afternoon and evening availability. References are required; videos of past work are preferred. Pass a Level 2 background check, and a 10-panel drug screen.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching a variety of dance genres to all age levels.
• References are required and videos of past work preferred.
• Must be able to work independently with excellent relationship-building skills and a passion for teaching dance.

Job Title: Tumbling Instructor (All Ages)

Description: The YMCA of Greater St Petersburg's Dance Academy is looking for qualified, reliable dance instructors in tumbling for all ages & levels for our growing dance program. Y Dance Academy (YDA) is a large non-profit dance program offering classes in all genres, including an award winning competition team, technique classes, and a large end of year performance for all students. Students have the option of pursuing dance competitively or as a recreational passion.

We are looking to fill classes on Monday & Wednesday evenings.

Requirements

• Instructors must have previous experience teaching a variety of dance genres to all age levels.
• References are required and videos of past work preferred.
• Part-time schedule with afternoon & evening availability during the week.

Locations: The candidate will work at 2 of our 3 YMCA Greater St. Petersburg locations depending on schedule

Pay & Perks

• Part-time, $18.00-$22.00/hour.
