Job summary

YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg seeks a lively Zumba® Instructor to lead engaging group fitness classes at the Speer YMCA. You will motivate participants of all fitness levels and deliver safe, high-quality workouts that align with YMCA standards.

Lead dynamic sessions, connect with members, and arrive prepared with music and structured plans while promoting an inclusive, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current Zumba® Instructor Certification required.
• Pass a 10-panel drug screen.
• Complete Level 2 background check.

Seeking an energetic and passionate Zumba® Instructor to lead engaging group fitness classes. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming and inclusive environment, motivate participants of all fitness levels, and deliver high-quality, safe, and fun workouts that align with YMCA standards.

Duties:

• Lead dynamic and safe Zumba® classes for members of varying fitness levels
• Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating class environment
• Build strong relationships with members and encourage ongoing participation
• Arrive prepared with structured class plans and appropriate music
• Ensure proper use of equipment and adherence to safety guidelines
• Provide modifications and support to accommodate different abilities

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Current Zumba® Instructor Certification required
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to connect with and engage diverse populations
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and inspire others
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must pass a 10-panel drug screen
• Must successfully complete a Level 2 background check*

Pay & Perks:

Part-time, $20.00–$23.00 per hour, based on experience and certifications. Free individual YMCA membership and discount for household family members.
