Job summary

Midway Products Group, INC is seeking a reliable 2nd shift material handler to safely operate a Tugger and related equipment. You will drive a standard route to move totes, stock assemblies, and communicate shortages to the leadership team.

Qualifications

• Safe operation of powered stand-up and sit-down industrial delivery equipment.
• Effective communication of part shortages and critical information to leaders.
• Ability to move materials safely to prevent injury or damage.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates powered stand-up and sit down industrial delivery equipment.
• Drives a standardized route to pick-up and deliver small totes of materials for all plant departments
• Ensures all assembly operations are adequately stocked to prevent part shortages and downtime.
• Works closely with Area Managers and Team Leaders to ensure overall effectiveness of the delivery system.
• Effectively communicates part shortages and other critical information to the appropriate leaders throughout the facility.
• Moves materials in amounts to avoid personal injury, or damage to equipment, material, product, or the facility.
• Interprets labels to ensure proper disposition of materials.
• Effectively manages battery supply to avoid unplanned downtime of the Tugger.
• Maintains proper records.
• Performs daily shift inspection checks to make sure the Tugger is in proper working condition.
• Reports any safety or mechanical problems with the Tugger to an Area Manager or Team Leader.
• Adheres to all safety regulations.
• Treats all team members with respect and dignity.
• Performs other essential functions as assigned.
