Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP in Wichita, KS is seeking a Tugger forklift operator to move products safely, load and unload, and keep recycle and reuse areas organized and clean.

You will follow safety rules, perform forklift inspections, complete paperwork, and participate in daily safety meetings. A high school diploma or GED is required, and forklift certification may be needed along with a valid driver''s license with clean MVR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months to one year in a company environment or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver''s license with clean MVR; forklift certification may be required.
• Completion of safety and task training certifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean work area and complies with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Moves product safely, utilizing a forklift to load and unload products.
• Stacks product in the warehouse and trucks.
• Controls damage and inventory.
• Completes paperwork and submits it at the end of each shift.
• Completes a daily Pre & Post shift Forklift inspection.
• Attends and participates in daily safety meeting.
• Operates compactor per manufacturer specifications.
• Notifies management when compactors are full for pick up.
• Assists with recycling, compacting cardboard, and wood disposal.
• Uses proper personal protective equipment.
• Understands customer service and satisfaction.

Job Overview

The Tugger is responsible for moving product safely, utilizing a forklift to load and unload product, and keeping assigned recycle and reuse material areas clean and in an orderly condition.

Roles & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintains clean work area and complies with all company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Follows and responds to supervisor directions both verbally and written.
• Moves product safely, utilizing a forklift to load and unload products.
• Stacks product in the warehouse and trucks.
• Controls damage and inventory
• Completes paperwork and turned it all in at the end of each shift.
• Completes a daily Pre & Post shift Forklift inspection.
• Attends and participates in daily safety meeting
• Operates compactor per manufacture specifications.
• Notifies management when compactors are full for pick up.
