Qualifications

  • Proven leadership and crew management abilities.
  • Strong vessel handling and navigation skills.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Coast Guard regulations and marine operating requirements.
  • Ability to coordinate operations across vessels and barges.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a current U.S. Coast Guard license as Master or Operator of Towing Vessels.
  • Coordinate crew assignments and vessel operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
  • Maintain vessel logs and required documentation, including the Vessel Daily Log.
  • Enforce safety procedures and conduct emergency drills to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee vessel provisioning and supply management to ensure seaworthiness.
