Job summary

Tarkett is seeking a hands-on Tufting Operator to join our Hospitality manufacturing team. You will operate cut pile tufting machines, monitor product quality, and help maintain a safe, organized work area.

The night shift runs 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, Sunday through Wednesday. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in precision work and wants a long-term career in manufacturing with a global leader in flooring.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Proficiency in basic math (addition and subtraction).
• Ability to read and interpret graphic patterns.

Responsibilities

• Operate cut pile tufting machines, threading and needle work, blade replacement, and setup checks.
• Repair yarn breaks using an air splicer.
• Perform quality inspections and coordinate repairs for carpet voids.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow safety and environmental guidelines and wear PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Tufting Operator - Hospitality

Position Summary

Tarkett is seeking a Tufting Operator, to join our Hospitality manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate cut pile tufting machines, monitor product quality throughout production runs, and help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. This is a hands-on position well suited to candidates who take pride in precision work and want to build a long-term career in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate cut pile tufting machines, including threading and replacing needles, replacing cutting blades, aligning the cutting blade block, hook replacement, backing changes, roll tickets, and doffing.
• Repair yarn breaks in creels and beams using an air splicer.
• Complete machine setup checks, including the production checklist, deck board, and backing verification.
• Perform quality inspections during production runs and coordinate with the mender to repair voids in carpet as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-ordered work area.
• Follow all company and regulatory safety and environmental guidelines, including wearing required personal protective equipment, using approved tools and equipment, and applying safe work practices for each task.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and write in standard English.
• Proficiency in basic math, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to read and interpret graphic patterns.
• Ability to bend, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to remain on your feet for the duration of a 12-hour shift in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience operating cut pile tufting machines preferred.
