Job summary

FedEx Corporation in Des Moines, IA, is seeking staff to operate equipment safely for moving packages and heavy freight. You will assist with pallet buildup/breakdown and coordinate with ULD repair vendors as needed, while maintaining safety in a busy, noisy environment.

The role requires the ability to lift 50 lbs, maneuver heavy loads with equipment, and work in all weather conditions. Shift Tuesday to Saturday, 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM; a valid Iowa driver’s license and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 lbs from ground to chest level.
• Able to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with equipment or assistance.
• Able to operate in a noisy, field environment and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment for moving packages/documents/heavyweight, dangerous goods and ULDs.
• Assists in buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Serves as liaison between company and ULD repair vendor, as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
