Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Tube Machine Operator for its Yankton, SD facility. You will program, operate, and machine tubes as part of the third shift, reporting to the Tubing third shift supervisor. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork to meet production goals.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math and measurement skills, and the ability to pass pre-employment tests. A performance bonus and benefits are available; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 1 year related work experience preferred.
• Basic math skills; ability to read specs and use measuring tools.
• English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to production demands.
• Regular attendance and safe work practices are essential.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate the tube machine to produce a finished tube.
• Assemble tubes and inspect parts.
• Perform light machine maintenance and assist in training others on the tube machine.
• Follow work instructions and set up RTTS and aluminum tube machines as needed.
• Assist in other production areas as required and qualified.
• Comply with safety guidelines; travel may be required for projects.
