Job summary

AmerCable, a dynamic manufacturer of jacketed electrical cables, seeks a Tuber Operator in El Dorado, AR. You will ensure tubing material is applied accurately, contributing to quality, on-time delivery and customer satisfaction in the Jacket Cell.

Work involves setting up machinery, following router instructions, and maintaining safety and 5S practices. ISO 9000 training is part of required readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong reading comprehension to follow router instructions and procedures.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to run production machinery.
• Ability to operate the lead strip machine and a computer keyboard.
• Capability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Physical ability to move up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, extended hours, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Verify materials received align with router specifications for each cable order.
• Set up machinery per router instructions for production readiness.
• Operate equipment following Work Instructions and SOPs.
• Support Lead Operator to maintain workflow and efficiency.
• Monitor product quality and identify improvement opportunities.
• Track and improve machine/operator efficiency to meet production targets.
• Ensure targets align with schedules and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area per 5S practices.
• Uphold Mattr Code of Ethics and Business Conduct Standards.
