Job summary

Triple-S Steel Holdings, Inc. in Colorado is seeking a Production Equipment Operator to read and execute work orders for tube laser production.

You will set up and run the Mazak Jumbo Tube Laser, handle material movement, and perform first-piece inspections to verify dimensions against specs. Responsibilities include data entry into manufacturing software, routine maintenance, keeping a clean work area, and strict adherence to safety rules.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specs, safety rules, and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to read metric and inch measurements and use precision tools.
• Numerical skills for proportions, area and volume calculations.
• Ability to solve practical problems with concrete variables.
• Familiarity with manufacturing software, CNC software and NC code.
• Capable of operating a lift truck and a 10-ton crane.
• Strong attendance, dependability and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Lead the setup and operation of the Mazak Jumbo Tube Laser.
• Handle material identification, transport and scrap disposal.
• Perform first piece inspections and verify dimensions.
• Enter data on time, material usage and production quantities.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Keep the work area clean, neat and orderly.
• Operate secondary machines when needed for deburr and finishing.
• Adhere to safety rules and report discrepancies.
• Perform additional tasks to support production goals.
