Reliance, Inc. seeks a Tube Laser Operator to set up, operate, and maintain laser equipment, loading raw materials and importing files from remote drives. The role requires reading blueprints, adjusting machine parameters, and ensuring parts meet specifications with precision tools.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License preferred.
• Certification to operate material handling equipment.
• Experience in warehousing or material handling is preferred.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Select and verify raw materials using tape measures and calipers according to EMJ color codes.
• Load raw material using forklifts, side loaders, or overhead cranes.
• Import part files into the laser system from a remote drive using Windows-based applications.
• Set machine parameters, change lenses, nozzles, and filters, and perform basic maintenance.
• Adjust tech tables including laser focus, gas pressure, and power settings.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, height gauges, micrometers, and other precision tools.
