Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology in Austin, TX is seeking a Tube Bender to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will read blueprints, determine bend angles and radii, select appropriate tooling, and maintain equipment to meet strict quality standards.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and occasional overtime; semiconductor experience is a plus but not required. Full benefits available for full-time employees.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Calculate bends using CLA and E/E formulas and tangents.
• Review prints for bend radii, angles, and tooling.
• Operate band/cold saws and perform routine machine maintenance.
• Ensure quality objectives are met in a busy manufacturing environment.

UCT is looking for a talented Tube Bender to join us in Austin, TX!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be able to calculate bend using CLA formula, E/E formula & determining tangents
• Review engineering documents and determine angles & bend radius and tooling required set bends
• Understanding the limitations of tool types Eaton Leonard VB42, Eaton Leonard CBCE 25 semi-auto, and Diacro bender (manual)
• Determine slippage when performing manual bends
• Must be driven towards quality objectives and quality needs
• Ability to review prints and determine where bends vs. micro-fittings would be appropriate for cost savings
• Ability to perform routine maintenance on the above-mentioned tools
• Ability to operate a band saw, cold saw, and facing tools
• Knowledge of inputs, outputs, raw materials, waste, and quality control.
• Inspecting and evaluating the quality of products.
• Talking to others to effectively convey information
• The ability to bend stretch, twist, or reach out with the body of Tube
• Must be able to work in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to solve problems quickly and independently.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand and interpret specific job requirements.
• Able to use various machine tools and equipment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Able to read blueprints and able to build according to print.
• Good organizational skills and knowledge of equipment operation and safety of equipment such as cold saws, hand drills, deburr tooling, etc.
• The ability to quickly and repeatedly make precise adjustments in moving the controls of a machine to exact positions.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Certification is a plus.

Experience Requirement:

Work Experience:

• Semiconductor experience is a plus.

• Subject to noise levels.
• May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, computers, etc.

Overnight Travel:

• Work may require out-of-town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting).
