Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology in Austin, TX is seeking a Welder IV to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of welding experience and a strong proficiency in TIG and MIG welding, reading blueprints, and using precision measuring tools to ensure quality assemblies.

You will fabricate components from metal, perform routine equipment maintenance, adhere to safety protocols, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Fabricates equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receives instructions, prints and work orders for the job. Plans details of working procedure and tools and, material requirements.
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment.
• Assume responsibility and care of assigned tools and equipment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Manual and machine TIG/MIG.
• Understanding of the use of measuring devices, such as micrometers, calipers, tapes etc.

Qualified to read blueprints.

• Fabricates equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals.
• Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded.
• Subject completed welding tasks to appropriate inspections.
• Strong understanding of TIG/MIG welding procedures & processes.
• Must have experience working with steel, aluminum and stainless steel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and AWS welding symbols.
• Ability to perform welds that pass a visual inspection and destructive test.
• Ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, squares, rules and dial calipers).
• Basic math skills; must be able to perform conversions and basic calculations.
• Knowledge of welding machines and set up.
• Ability to operate hand/air tools and electric grinders.

1 in Arizona this is considered a Safety Sensitive position.

Educational/Certification Requirement

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• Two-year vocational welding program or equivalent experience.

• 4+ years of experience in welding.
