Job summary

Castro Valley School of Music in Castro Valley, California is seeking a dedicated Tuba Instructor to join our teaching team for a part-time, in-person role. You will work with students ranging from beginners to intermediate players and bring a fun, engaging approach to lessons.

Tuba Instructor – Castro Valley School of Music

Castro Valley School of Music is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Tuba Instructor to join our teaching team.

We’re looking for a skilled musician who enjoys working with students and can make learning the tuba fun, engaging, and rewarding. Our students range in age and ability, so the ideal instructor will be comfortable teaching beginners as well as more experienced players.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong proficiency on tuba
• Experience teaching private lessons preferred
• Ability to work with beginning and intermediate students
• Friendly, patient, dependable, and professional
• Comfortable working with children and teens
• Ability to tailor lessons to each student’s interests, goals, and learning style
• Formal music education is a plus, but excellent musicianship and teaching ability are most important
