Castro Valley School of Music is seeking a passionate Tuba Instructor to Join our teaching team in Castro Valley, CA. The role focuses on delivering engaging private tuba lessons to students of diverse ages and abilities.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong tuba skills and experience teaching private lessons, with the ability to tailor instruction to each learner's interests and goals. This part-time, in-person position includes teaching space and scheduling support.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency on tuba.
• Experience teaching private lessons preferred.
• Ability to work with beginning and intermediate students.
• Friendly, patient, dependable, and professional.
• Comfortable working with children and teens.
• Ability to tailor lessons to each student\'s interests, goals, and learning style.
• Formal music education is a plus, but excellent musicianship and teaching ability are most important.

Responsibilities

• Teach private tuba lessons to students of varying ages.
• Develop and adapt lesson plans to student needs and goals.
• Maintain a positive, engaging teaching environment.
• Collaborate with Castro Valley School of Music on scheduling and space usage.
