Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Cyber Defense professional to support the Battle Watch Captain at Fort Meade with incident handling, network analysis, and threat detection. You will prepare daily situational awareness and briefings on important directives, alerts, and messages.

The role requires DoD networks experience (NIPR/SIPR), active TSSCI, and DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification with CSSP-A within 180 days of start date.

Qualifications

• Active TSSCI
• Bachelor's Degree and 2 YOE-4 YOE can be used in lieu of a degree
• Must have a DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) to start and must obtain CSSP-A within 180 days
• CND experience within a Computer Incident Response organization
• Understanding of network threat life cycle and Cyber Kill Chain concepts; prior Military IT or IC experience
• Hands-on experience with DoD Networks including NIPR and SIPR
• Understanding of TTPs in cybersecurity threats

• The main responsibility will be to support the Battle Watch Captain with all Cyber Defense/Network Assurance issues as well as maintain awareness of all pertinent directives, orders, alerts, and messages; prepare and deliver daily situational awareness and operational update briefings.

Compensation

$40/hr to $45/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

• Demonstrated understanding of the life cycle of network threats, attacks, attack vectors and methods of exploitation with an understanding of intelligence driven defense and/or Cyber Kill Chain methodology. Prior Military IT or IC Experience
• Hands on Experience working with DoD Networks including NIPR and SIPR
• Demonstrated understanding of the life cycle of cybersecurity threats, attacks, attack vectors and understanding of intrusion set tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
