Job description

As a Telecommunication Systems Integration Project Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in designing, configuring, testing, and commissioning telecommunication systems and solutions, such as IP telephone systems, radio systems, data networks, wireless networks, CCTV systems, and access control systems (ACS) for our customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements, develop system designs, and provide technical expertise to ensure successful project execution. The role involves working with various Telecommunication systems, including Honeywell Enterprise Building Integrator (EBI), Digital Video Manager (DVM), and other related platforms.

You will report directly to the TSI Lead Project Engineer, and you'll work out of our Houston facilities and at customer sites across the US.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Create and define project specifications and others engineering documents.

+ Design, configure, implement, and integrate telecommunication and security systems for industrial facilities

+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to networks, virtualization, Wireless networks, Radio, Access Control, and CCTV systems.

+ Test and validate the functionality of the telecommunication systems.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather customer requirements and develop system designs

+ Ensure seamless integration with other systems.

+ Provide technical expertise and support during project execution

+ Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements

+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance solution effectiveness and efficiency.

+ 75% Travel to customer industrial facilities within the US.

**US PERSON REQUIREMENTS**

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

**YOU MUST HAVE**

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering or computer science

+ 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing Telecommunication systems like LAN, Wi-Fi, Radio, ACS, or CCTV.

+ Strong technical knowledge of relevant systems.

+ Knowledge of industry standards and best practices

+ Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues

**WE VALUE**

+ Experience with Honeywell's EBI and DVM systems

+ Experience with Motorola Trunk Radio Systems

+ Experience with ISA100 Wireless or Wireless Hart networks

+ Experience integrating TWIC with Access Control Systems.

+ Experience configuring Network switches and Routers.

+ Experience with VMware solutions and Active Directory services.

+ Experience with integration of access control and CCTV systems with other security and building management systems

+ Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
