Job summary

Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) in Honolulu, HI seeks a Network Engineer to support the DoD C2S2 networks. You will design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot a broad range of network technologies across multiple enclaves with varying classifications.

The role requires active TS w/ SCI eligibility and DoD experience. Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $5,000. On-site work with a competitive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Active TS w/ SCI Eligibility.
• Must meet intermediate proficiency level per DoDM 8410.03.
• Must possess ONE of the 8570 IAT-II certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA.
• 3 years of DoD network engineering experience or 5 years total network engineering experience.
• Experience managing Cisco Routers, Switches, and Firewalls (Firepower).
• Experience with Cisco ACI and ISE.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with SPLUNK, ACAS, WhatUpGold, F5, VMware NSX.
• Microsoft Visio and MS Office tools.
• Physical ability to carry 40 pounds.
• Willingness for after-hours/weekend support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, update, and secure network environments.
• Work with Cisco devices and multiple security classifications across enclaves.
• Provide essential documentation for project continuity and STIG compliance.
• Assist in planning and upgrading network infrastructure.
