Job summary

Soft Tech Consulting, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Systems Administrator to join our DC-area team. The role requires US citizenship and a Top Secret clearance. Onsite four days per week with an option for one remote day.

You will manage Linux and Windows environments, enhance security, and maintain services like Email, SSO, DNS, and Active Directory. The ideal candidate has substantial experience with RHEL, AWS, and scripting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in any related field.
• 5+ years experience with Windows Server administration, networking, and system administration background.
• 5+ years of experience with Linux operating systems (RHEL) including patching and maintenance.
• Experience with leveraging version control systems on team-based projects (GitLab).
• 2+ years of experience with Amazon Cloud Services (AWS).
• Experience with Active Directory (Windows AD, ADFS, Kerberos, and SAML).
• Experience with Gitlab (Intermediate).
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server Administration (Intermediate).
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) (Advanced).
• Experience with Active Directory (AD) (Intermediate).
• Experience with Shell Scripting (Intermediate).

Responsibilities

• Manage a Linux and Windows based cloud environment, including virtual resources for applications in development and production.
• Design solutions to improve performance and security for the client’s Red Hat Linux servers and configure enterprise services such as Email, SSO and DNS.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported via Service Desk systems and automated monitoring is required.
• Perform patch management across all environments and monitor system performance.
