Job summary
D2 Technical Services is seeking a VMware (ESXi) Engineer to design, implement, and sustain secure virtual environments in support of national security operations. You will work on ESXi clusters, vSphere, vRA, vROps, NSX-T, and cross‑functional teams to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance in highly secure settings.
TS/SCI clearance is required, with 5+ years of relevant experience. Collaborative mentorship and technical leadership responsibilities are available to help grow the team
Qualifications
- 5+ years of systems engineering experience focused on VMware technologies.
- Active TS/SCI clearance required.
- Hands-on experience with ESXi, vSphere, vRA, vROps, NSX/NSX-T, Windows Server, Linux/Unix.
- Strong networking fundamentals and ability to work in highly secure environments.
- Ability to author and maintain clear technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Architect, configure, and sustain cutting-edge VMware environments.
- Design and define system architecture for new and existing VMware environments.
- Install, configure, and manage vSphere components and related tools.
- Support operational readiness including C&A processes.
- Provide Tier II/III troubleshooting for Windows and Linux systems.
- Lead or mentor engineers and serve as technical lead for projects.
