FWI is seeking a sharp, detail-obsessed Technical Editor/Writer to ensure every word is accurate, polished, and on point. This full-time on-site role supports the DIA’s OCC and requires TS/SCI with CI Poly, AP Style mastery, and the ability to verify facts and manage high-visibility projects.

The position emphasizes collaboration with writers and visual information specialists, with responsibilities spanning congressional briefings, web copy, exhibits, and multimedia productions.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly.
• Experience in technical editing and writing in a government/defense or intelligence environment.
• Expert command of AP Style and formal government correspondence standards.
• Strong research skills to verify facts, dates, statistics, and sources.
• Proven ability to manage multiple high-visibility projects under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review congressional briefings, articles, and correspondence for grammar, style, and factual gaps.
• Collaborate with writers and visual information specialists to sharpen readability and tighten tone.
• Ensure content follows AP Style and the DIA's Correspondence Guide for formal content.
• Research to verify facts, dates, and sources; locate contacts and references.
• Support social media content, web copy, exhibits, and multimedia productions.
• Attend weekly team syncs and project meetings to stay aligned with the pipeline.
• Submit monthly project status reports to leadership.
