Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Journeyman Systems Engineer to support the Tactical Data Link program at Eglin AFB, Florida. The role requires US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with DoD experience or equivalent certifications.

You will contribute to system-level design, testing, and risk management across defense programs. Responsibilities include engineering reviews, documentation, validation, and technical training to support acquisition, development, and deployment.

Qualifications

US citizenship is required.
Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field with at least three years of DoD experience, or seven years of related experience with proper certifications.
Three years of DoD experience required if using the degree option.

Responsibilities

Conduct reviews on program portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans and improve systems engineering programs and tests.
Perform program reviews to ensure subsystem and system performance per specifications.
Prepare technical documents defining system/subsystem characteristics and present management reports.
Validate systems and develop criteria and procedures; evaluate results of major engineering systems.
Provide system/program engineering support and technical training for acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, deployment, and operations oversight.
Contribute to program risk management activities in compliance with Air Force SEAM processes.
Engage in gap analysis, trade space analysis, and cost-versus-capability trade-off studies.
