Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Special Security Officer (SSO) at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, VA. The role requires a current TS/SCI clearance and involves administering the SCI program, advising on security standards, and ensuring proper safeguarding and dissemination of SCI materials.

The SSO will manage personnel security processes, maintain DISS records, and coordinate with DoD/DNI directives. The position is onsite at Langley with responsibilities spanning physical, personnel, and information

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance required on day 1.
• 4+ years of relevant experience with SCI disciplines.
• Knowledge of ICD 704, ICD 705 and DoDM 5105.21 directives.
• Ability to work independently in an operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain SCI directives, regulations, manuals and guidelines to discharge SSO duties.
• Ensure SCI is properly controlled, transmitted, packaged, and safeguarded.
• Investigate SCI security infractions and report to Chief SSO on site.
• Maintain liaison with collateral security officials to ensure mission success.
• Conduct SCI personnel, information, physical and technical security actions.
