Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer (Level 2) to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, including intensive analytics and real-time data processing.

You will review components, test, and resolve issues, contributing to system design with hardware/software trade-offs. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/SE, 14 years of software engineering experience, and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• 14 years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Serve as a team lead and oversee one or more software development teams.
• Complex Development: Design or implement complex algorithms with strict timing, resources, or interfaces.
• System Design & Integration: Collaborate with system and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and interfaces.
• Quality Control: Perform quality control on team products and improve documentation and processes.
• Analysis & Modification: Design, develop, and modify software using analysis and models to predict outcomes.
• Installation & Monitoring: Coordinate software installation and monitor operation to meet specs.
• Documentation: Write or review software and system documentation.
• Database Interaction: Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces and queries.
