Job summary

B4Corp is seeking a Software Engineer in Chantilly, VA to join a 200+ FTE program supporting Entitlement Programs, IdAM/ICAM, and Digital Policy Management. Requires TS/SCI with a polygraph; work focuses on modernizing IT systems and delivering secure, reliable services.

Qualifications

• BS degree and 16+ years of relevant experience.
• Must have Java, Spring Boot, Angular (Typescript), and AWS experience.
• Prior experience reading and developing solutions to customer requirements and specifications.
• Prior experience developing custom ETL.
• Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, Selenium, and Rundeck.
• Experiencing working in Command Line (RH Linux).

Responsibilities

• Comfort and familiarity in maintaining legacy applications.
• Experience in modernization of legacy applications.
• Ability to write custom scripts to install and configure code in EC2 instances.
• Experience leveraging Amazon Web Services.
• Experience creating RESTful API.
• Experience with spring boot.
• Develop Java and Angular (Typescript) that leverage Elasticsearch.
• Comfort and familiarity designing and utilizing custom ETL methodology.
• Strong communication, design, and documentation skills.
• Strong time and workflow management skills.
• Comfort and familiarity in unit testing, peer code review, and automated testing techniques like Selenium.
• Work within the parameters of Agile & Scrum methodologies.
• Willingness to mentor and teach junior developers’ community best practices in a constructive fashion.
• Ability to methodically think through new and exciting challenges in a collaborative team environment in order to provide technically sound solutions.
