Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Resident Engineer to support a TS/SCI with Poly clearance in the Columbia/Fort Meade, MD area. This is an on-site role at a customer location, with some remote/teleworker designation noted but not remote in practice.

The ideal candidate will manage data center network operations, demonstrate deep routing and switching expertise (EVPN, MPLS TE, OSPF, BGP), and be comfortable working with Juniper gear (QFX, MX, EX, SRX) and related automation tools.

Qualifications

• Engineering design/architecture experience in large data center networks.
• Juniper certification or knowledge of similar vendors is a strong plus.
• Automation experience with DevOps tooling is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a data center network infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of EVPN, MPLS TE, OSPF, BGP, LDP, and tunneling tech.
• Support Juniper QFX, MX, EX, SRX equipment and related troubleshooting.
• Develop and implement network design improvements in coordination with JTAC.
