Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a TS/SCI IT Systems Engineer for a hybrid role in Denver, CO. The candidate will lead and participate in system integration tasks, design reviews, testing, and deployment, including Google Cloud Platform administration.

The position requires a self-starter approach and the ability to work with limited supervision. The role supports a large telecommunications client, offering full benefits and unlimited PTO.

Qualifications

  • Active TS clearance is required.
  • 4+ years Linux systems engineering experience (RHEL, Rocky).
  • 2+ years Docker or Kubernetes experience.
  • 2+ years with automation in Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Must be willing and able to install and lift physical hardware.
  • Available for Network Outages and Maintenance window work.
  • Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize Docker containers and containerized applications across development, test, and production environments.
  • Centrally orchestrate multi-container deployments with high availability.
  • Evaluate, build, integrate, and test new systems for production use.

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an TS/SCI IT Systems Engineer to support a large telecommunications client in Denver, CO. This is a highly technical and hands‑on position requiring the selected candidate to both lead and participate in multiple team environments and to provide independent efforts to all aspects of system integration including design, analysis, design review, testing, implementation, and validation. The candidate should be a self-starter and can work independently with little to no supervision. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to --

  • The candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in system architecture and engineering disciplines.
  • Recommends optimized solutions to support current and long‑range planning and collaborates with project team leads in the selection, recommendation and approvals of tools and technologies to improve efficiencies, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize Docker containers and containerized applications across development, test, and production environments.
  • Centrally orchestrate the use of multiple containers, replication, high‑availability, and deployment.
  • Evaluate, Build, Integrate, Test and Prepare brand new systems for operational use. As well as developing quick fixes for rapid remediation and deployment to current production systems.
  • Deploy, configure, and administer systems in Google Cloud Platform.
  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures based upon system security and functional requirements.
  • Designs requirements‑based technical solutions in support of new projects and assists with transition of the solution and design into production.
  • Evaluates and recommends future technologies and methodologies that will enhance future capabilities.
  • Supports due diligence activities including site surveys, design, design review, bill of materials creation, statement of work creation, vendor negotiation and coordination, proposal generation, and proposal delivery.
  • Recommends optimized solutions to support current and long‑range planning and collaborates with project team leads in the selection, recommendation and approvals of tools and technologies to improve efficiencies, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Mentor teammates by helping them learn new technologies where needed.
  • Provide rapid operational support, troubleshooting, and resolution to production equipment.

This is a permanent, hybrid role that's mostly work from home. The candidate will be required to go onsite in downtown Denver for hardware install and troubleshooting as needed. The rest of the time will be work from home. Salary range for this role is $145,000-$155,000 and there is a prorated 15% bonus that is paid out in March of 2027 for anyone who's hired by/before September 30th. If hired after September 30th, they will be paid out in March of 2028 and each year after.

Skills and Requirements
  • Must have an active TS clearance
  • 4+ years of current Linux systems engineering experience (RHEL, Rocky). Strong understanding of Linux networking concepts and effectively utilizes native Linux capabilities.
  • 2+ years Docker or Kubernetes experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting within the environment
  • 2+ years with automation in Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Must be willing and able to install and lift physical hardware equipment
  • Available for Network Outages and Maintenance window work.
  • Ability to travel
