Position: Linux System Engineer
Location: Chantilly, VA — 5 days on site, no remote
Company: NextGen Government Services / Insight Global (job poster)
Clearance Requirement: Top Secret with SCI or SCI Eligibility
Base pay range: $70.00/hr - $90.00/hr
Pay range (additional): $70-90/hr — pay is dependent on experience and education
On this classified DoD engagement, the engineer will support a private cloud service used by multiple classified tenants and ensure Linux-hosted applications run smoothly. Responsibilities include design, development, testing, and maintenance of the cloud service and deployment of new applications and functionality.

- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of related experience, or 6 years of overall experience
- Experience supporting cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OpenStack) — can consider candidates with virtual server experience if other requirements are met
- Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, or other container experience
- Experience using Python or other automation tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef)
