Job summary

Peraton is seeking a FOIA Redaction Analyst to support our IC customer onsite in McLean, Virginia. The role requires handling sensitive government records under FOIA, PA, EO 13526, and IC policies, with an emphasis on accuracy and timely responses.

You will manage complex cases including FOIA litigation and appeals, conduct MDR/ADR reviews, coordinate with IC components and external agencies, and ensure evidence-based documentation and compliant disclosure while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Requires a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Requires a BS/BA plus 5 years of experience or 9+ years with no degree.
• Experience supporting FOIA, PA, MDR, and ADR case processing.
• Ability to review sensitive government records and ensure disclosure/privacy/classification compliance.
• Excellent written communication with error-free, professionally formatted documents.
• Experience with case management tools and document-handling systems; IC/ODNI systems a plus.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accurate case action documentation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to public and official requests for review and release under FOIA/PA/EO 13526 and IC policies.
• Handle complex cases including FOIA litigation and appeals with exemptions knowledge.
• Conduct MDR and ADR per EO 13526.
• Coordinate taskings and document collection across IC components and external agencies.
• Verify searches and ensure all relevant facts are captured in case files.
• Review case files to ensure completed actions and proper documentation.
• Monitor case progress to meet deadlines and coordinate with government leads.
• Produce high-quality, grammatically correct work requiring minimal edits.
• Submit final response letters and close cases within three business days of government approval.
• Track status of cases using government tools and provide inputs to annual compliance reports.
