Job summary

Base-2 Solutions in Bethesda, MD seeks a Junior DevOps Engineer to support the NMEC DOMEX Technology Platform and D3P Modernization by deploying and maintaining a containerized microservices stack.

The role requires hands-on experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitLab, and Linux environments, plus TS/SCI clearance. On-site work and cross-functional collaboration are key aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of experience in the field; substitutions allowed.
• Strong Linux proficiency and hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration and GitLab.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
• Demonstrated success in cross-functional engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big data pipeline on Kubernetes.
• Enhance and maintain CI/CD scripts and DevOps processes.
• Design and support scalable infrastructure (physical and virtual).
• Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security and operations.
• Participate in Agile release planning and project meetings.
