Job summary

Inferno Systems Inc. is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Chantilly, VA to automate server deployment and tooling for penetration testing. You will design infrastructure with Ansible, Chef, Puppet or Salt, automate tests, and write Python and Bash scripts to accelerate operations.

You will collaborate with penetration testers and operations to keep deployments agile and responsive to changing mission requirements, balancing air-gapped and internet-connected environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of overall development experience.
• Design and deploy infrastructure using orchestration tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt).
• Write Bash and Python scripts for task automation.
• Automate testing and deployment of tools and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with penetration testers and operations teams.
• Familiar with agile software methodologies and rapid changes.

Responsibilities

• Build out and automate deployment of servers and clusters.
• Automate testing of tools and infrastructure for security assessments.
• Document technical information in Confluence or similar platforms.
• Support ongoing operations and maintain risk controls.
• Work with cross-functional teams to meet mission objectives.
