Job summary

Inferno Systems Inc. is seeking an Operational System Engineer in Chantilly, VA, to combine Linux system administration with bash/python scripting to automate tasks alongside CNOs.

You will support data collection, transfer, and task tracking to accelerate data delivery to end users and decision makers. The role involves working with CNOs on conops and developing new processes for data collection, ingestion and processing across Linux and Windows environments, with virtualization and network

Qualifications

• 4+ years programming in Python and/or Bash.
• Experience with both Linux and Windows.
• Familiarity with web proxies, SSL certificates and DNS records.
• Experience in virtualization environments (VMware ESXi).
• Understanding of data flows and ETL processing.
• Solid Linux logging and network traffic analysis skills.
• Ability to work with CNOs and design/develop tools to meet requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with CNOs to automate tasks and data collection.
• Develop and maintain tools for data ingestion, processing and transfer.
• Assist in conops discussions and methodologies for operational data handling.
• Monitor and analyze network traffic and system logs to support operability.
