Job summary

Paragon Cyber Solutions in Washington, DC is seeking a Data Scientist to apply statistics, machine learning, data mining, and other data science techniques to large intelligence data. You will identify trends, support predictive analysis, and deliver clear findings to decision makers.

Clearance: TS/SCI with ability to obtain CI polygraph. You will develop algorithms that support intelligence search and discovery, communicate results clearly, and produce written, visual, and verbal products for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with two years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL for data analysis and modeling.
• Experience developing ML models using open-source tools (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar).
• Experience with data mining, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling techniques.
• Experience analyzing large datasets to identify trends and produce findings.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases; familiarity with cloud computing.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Apply mathematics, statistics, AI, ML, and data science techniques to translate findings into graphical, written, visual, and verbal products.
• Identify trends in intelligence data and leverage IC data sources.
• Develop ML, data mining, and prediction algorithms using open-source tools.
• Integrate algorithms to support government intelligence search and discovery missions.
• Recommend best practices for data management within hardware, software, storage, and bandwidth constraints.
• Apply data science to predictive analysis and crowd-sourced data analytics.
• Perform exploratory analysis with rapid iteration on large data volumes to derive intelligence.
• Prepare products that describe and document findings and activities.
