Job summary

Paragon Cyber Solutions is seeking a Data Scientist to support a Government intelligence mission. You will apply statistics, machine learning, data mining, and other data science techniques to large volumes of intelligence data to identify trends, support predictive analysis, and deliver clear findings to decision makers.

You will develop and integrate algorithms that support intelligence search and discovery, recommend best practices for managing data, and produce written, visual, and verbal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL for data analysis and modeling.
• Experience developing ML models using open-source tools (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with data mining, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
• Experience analyzing large datasets to identify trends and produce findings.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Hands-on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud computing and data management within storage constraints.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Apply statistics, ML, data mining and other techniques to translate findings into visual and written products.
• Identify trends in intelligence data and leverage IC data sources.
• Develop and apply ML and prediction algorithms using open-source tools.
• Integrate algorithms to support intelligence search and discovery missions.
• Recommend best practices for data management within hardware/storage constraints.
• Apply data science to predictive analysis, social media analytics, and wargaming.
• Perform exploratory analysis and rapid iteration on large data volumes.
• Prepare products describing findings and activities.
