Job summary

Criterion Systems LLC is seeking a mission-focused Cybersecurity Operations Specialist III to support a government customer in Springfield, Virginia. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to manage complex security operations.

Under broad direction you will operate and monitor information systems security, implement controls, develop policies, and supervise PKI/HBSS tools, with opportunities to lead teams and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Current TS/SCI security clearance.
• High School Diploma and minimum of ten (10) years of related experience.
• Associates Degree and minimum of eight (8) years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of six (6) years of related experience.
• Master’s Degree and minimum of four (4) years of related experience.
• Ability to develop new concepts and processes.
• Ability to analyze root causes and resolve issues.
• Ability to support junior level technicians and specialists in their activities.
• Ability to perform all tasks of lower level technicians or specialists.
• Ability to work individually, actively participate on integrated teams, and lead a task, project or team.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal

Responsibilities

• Under broad direction, operates and manages all aspects of Information Systems, data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation.
• Implements and monitors security measures for communication systems, networks, and provide advice that systems and personnel adhere to established security standards and Governmental requirements for security on these systems.
• Develops and executes security policies, plans, and procedures; designs and implements data network security measures; operates Network Intrusion Detection and Forensics; conducts performance analysis of Information Systems security incidents; develops COOP/DR plans and supports certification of Information Systems and Networks.
• Supervises operation of Electronic Key Management System, other information security duties, and Public Key Infrastructure.
• Operates Host Based Security System (HBSS), firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, other point of presence security tools, VPNs, and related security operations.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
